Finbarr McAndrew

Finbarr John McAndrew

Under 14's (2017 Season)

Finbarr started playing Gaelic football for St Brendan's Under 10 team back in 2012. Although an attacking-midfielder in soccer, Finbarr has played the majority of his St Brendan's career as a full-back.

Finbarr is the third-generation of Gaelic footballers in his family to represent GAA teams in Warwickshire. His Father, Sean McAndrew, was a powerhouse for the underage John Mitchel's teams in the 1980's, and, latterly, St Chad's Junior's in the early 2000's. His Grandfather, Dr John McAndrew, togged out for John Mitchel's and Warwickshire in the 1960's, and Mayo in the decade before.

Finbarr was captain of the South Birmingham Primary Schools District Team, and plays in the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League (CWYFL) soccer for Redditch United.
